Ancient Easily Impressed Animalistic People.

“Feared and misunderstood by the so-called civilized peoples, long ago the animal folk decided to build their own village. Theirs is a difficult lot, for other villages usually refuse to welcome and do trade with them, yet they persevere with whatever resources they are able to scrounge. Magic in special causes them no small amount of awe and wonder, and so they try to please wizards and seek their favor, hoping they might find something of value in their garbage bins, even if most wizards see them as nothing more than a nuisance…”
The initial concept of this land started with a joke: what would feel like to have a land that changes owners constantly. As the main action in the game is casting spells, the way we arrived at that is making it so that anytime a wizard casts a spell the inhabitants of this land will be impressed by such power and change their allegiance.
A small and very humble village, at the second layer, emerges in the middle of an apple orchard. With houses made of cardboard boxes, this primitive and small town shelters several naive and harmless creatures. One of them, static and speechless, watches a stone, hoping it will do something unexpected, while a second one is completely delighted looking at an apple found in the ground. At the first layer, another individual is totally in awe, staring at a simple butterfly.
